Heinrich Kovar, PhD is a Professor at CCRI Vienna and the world's foremost authority on EWS-FLI1 fusion oncogene biology. His laboratory has defined the transcriptional networks controlled by EWS-FLI1, identified candidate cells of origin for Ewing sarcoma, and developed therapeutic strategies targeting oncogenic transcription factor activity. He co-leads the Euro-Ewing Consortium.
