Zhen Fan

Zhen Fan has conducted seminal research on KRAS and EGFR signaling in pancreatic cancer at MD Anderson Cancer Center, helping define the oncogenic drivers that sustain pancreatic tumor growth. His work has characterized mechanisms of resistance to EGFR-targeted therapies in pancreatic and colorectal cancers. He has contributed to understanding the crosstalk between KRAS and other oncogenic pathways that can be therapeutically exploited. His molecular biology insights have informed clinical development of KRAS inhibitor combinations.
