Haoqiang Ying has made fundamental discoveries in how oncogenic KRAS reprograms metabolism in pancreatic cancer. His studies on autophagy, macropinocytosis, and nutrient scavenging pathways revealed critical dependencies that can be therapeutically exploited. His genetically engineered mouse models have been essential for understanding KRAS-driven pancreatic tumorigenesis.
