Xichun Hu

Xichun Hu is one of China's foremost breast oncologists who has contributed to numerous pivotal breast cancer clinical trials in Chinese and global populations, including investigations of CDK4/6 inhibitors, immunotherapy, and novel targeted agents. Her research has characterized Chinese breast cancer epidemiology including the younger median age at diagnosis, higher rates of triple-negative breast cancer, and distinct molecular subtypes compared to Western populations. She has contributed to Chinese breast cancer clinical trial networks and participated in global trials including MONALEESA and PALOMA-2 evaluating CDK4/6 inhibitors in Chinese HR+ metastatic breast cancer patients. Her translational work on molecular subtypes, biomarkers, and treatment outcomes in Chinese breast cancer patients has contributed to China-specific breast cancer treatment guideline development.
