Wouter de Herder

Wouter de Herder is a leading European endocrine oncologist whose work has defined biochemical and imaging criteria for diagnosing and monitoring neuroendocrine tumors. He has contributed extensively to the characterization of hormonal syndromes associated with functional NETs and their management. His research spans pheochromocytoma, paraganglioma, and GEP-NETs with contributions to standardized biomarker use including chromogranin A and CgB. He has led European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (ENETS) guideline development for decades.
