Teresa Woodruff

Teresa Woodruff coined the term oncofertility and created the interdisciplinary field integrating oncology with reproductive medicine to address the fertility needs of cancer patients. Her laboratory developed 3D-printed bioprosthetic ovarian scaffolds that support follicle maturation and restore fertility function in animal models, representing a potential breakthrough for cancer survivors with ovarian failure. Her Oncofertility Consortium has built a global network of clinicians and researchers advancing fertility preservation access for cancer patients of all ages.
