👥Biography 个人简介

George Winter developed dBET1, one of the first highly potent and selective BET protein PROTACs, demonstrating the therapeutic potential of targeted BET bromodomain degradation for cancer at the CeMM Research Center. His work showed that degradation of BET proteins achieves superior anti-cancer effects compared to inhibition, establishing the conceptual framework for the catalytic mechanism of action advantage of degraders over inhibitors. He continues to advance chemical biology approaches to discover novel E3 ligase ligands and expand the toolkit for targeted protein degradation.
