Robert Winn

Robert Winn directs the VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he has pioneered community-centered approaches to improving clinical trial access for underserved populations. His research on trust-building with communities historically excluded from cancer research and his innovative models for bringing clinical trials to community settings have demonstrated that equitable enrollment is achievable with intentional effort. His national advocacy for equity-centered cancer research has influenced NCI cancer center designation criteria.
