William Travis at MSK is one of the world's leading thoracic pathologists who has been central to developing multiple editions of the WHO Classification of Lung Tumors. His contributions to classifying lung adenocarcinoma subtypes, neuroendocrine tumors of the lung, and pathological classification of tumors in the IASLC Staging Project have established internationally standardized diagnostic criteria used globally for lung cancer diagnosis and research.
