👥Biography 个人简介

William Hahn leads the Cancer Dependency Map (DepMap) initiative at the Broad Institute, the largest systematic effort to identify genetic vulnerabilities in cancer by performing genome-wide CRISPR knockout screens across over 1,000 cancer cell lines. His Project Achilles has generated comprehensive datasets of gene essentiality scores that reveal cancer-type-specific and context-dependent genetic dependencies exploitable for drug development. He has used DepMap data to validate and prioritize new drug targets, identify biomarkers of drug sensitivity, and discover synthetic lethal interactions. His open-data approach has made DepMap an essential public resource used by academic and industry researchers worldwide for cancer drug target discovery.
