James Welsh

James Welsh has led clinical trials combining stereotactic body radiation therapy with immunotherapy in lung cancer and other solid tumors, documenting abscopal responses and identifying predictive biomarkers for which patients are most likely to benefit from radiation-immunotherapy combinations. His research on multi-site radiation combined with immunotherapy has explored whether irradiating multiple metastatic sites amplifies the abscopal immune response compared to single-site treatment.
