Weidong Lu

Weidong Lu investigates the neurobiological mechanisms of acupuncture effects in cancer patients using neuroimaging and mechanistic studies. His research has applied fMRI and neurophysiological measurements to understand how acupuncture modulates pain processing and fatigue in cancer patients. He has conducted trials on acupuncture for chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy and cancer-related fatigue with concurrent mechanistic biomarker collection. His work brings rigor to understanding how integrative interventions exert their effects at the biological level.
