Andrew Wei co-led the VIALE-A trial demonstrating that venetoclax plus azacitidine improved survival in older patients with acute myeloid leukemia unfit for intensive chemotherapy. His work established a new standard of care in frontline AML and guides ongoing efforts in minimal residual disease-directed therapy. He leads collaborative Australasian trials in AML.
