Dr. Warren Bhatt is a vascular oncology drug developer who has investigated DLL4-Notch signaling in tumor angiogenesis. DLL4 expressed on endothelial tip cells activates Notch in neighboring cells to regulate tip-stalk cell patterning during vessel sprouting, and its inhibition dysregulates tumor vasculature. His work has contributed to the development of anti-DLL4 antibodies such as navicixizumab in combination with anti-VEGF therapy for gynecologic and other cancers.
