Kevin Ward

Kevin Ward directs the Georgia Cancer Registry at Emory University, where he has conducted extensive research on geographic disparities in cancer incidence, treatment, and outcomes between rural and urban populations. His population-based analyses have quantified the cancer burden in rural communities and identified modifiable factors contributing to rural-urban outcome gaps. He has developed surveillance methodologies that capture the unique challenges of cancer care delivery in rural settings and inform targeted interventions to improve rural cancer outcomes.
