👥Biography 个人简介

Virginia Kaklamani is a hereditary cancer specialist who has contributed to studies examining the risk of primary peritoneal carcinoma in BRCA1 carriers even after risk-reducing bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (RRSO). Her research has found that a small but meaningful percentage of BRCA1 carriers develop primary peritoneal carcinoma years after prophylactic oophorectomy, and has studied optimal surveillance protocols and PARP inhibitor chemoprevention approaches. She also investigates shared management of hereditary breast-ovarian cancer syndrome across breast and ovarian disease settings.
