Victor Villalobos at the University of Colorado is advancing immunotherapy for sarcoma, a historically immunotherapy-resistant cancer. His research has demonstrated pembrolizumab activity in alveolar soft part sarcoma and undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma — subtypes with high immune infiltration. His work to characterize the immune microenvironment across sarcoma subtypes is informing combination immunotherapy strategies.
