👥Biography 个人简介

Reinout van Crevel provided key epidemiological evidence linking BCG vaccination to reduced cancer incidence beyond bladder cancer, conducting large cohort studies demonstrating that BCG-vaccinated populations have lower rates of lung, colorectal, and melanoma cancers, supporting the trained immunity hypothesis for BCG anti-cancer mechanisms. His clinical studies characterized the duration and magnitude of BCG-induced trained immunity in cancer patients, identifying optimal revaccination intervals for maintaining anti-tumor immune enhancement. He leads international collaborative studies evaluating BCG as a cancer prevention intervention in high-risk populations.
