David Tuveson has pioneered pancreatic cancer organoid models that faithfully recapitulate the dense stromal microenvironment and drug resistance characteristic of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. His organoid co-culture systems incorporating cancer-associated fibroblasts and immune cells enable testing of combination therapies in physiologically relevant conditions. His work has accelerated clinical translation of organoid-guided therapy for pancreatic cancer patients.
