👥Biography 个人简介

Toshiyuki Yoneda is a preeminent bone biologist who has defined the cellular and molecular mechanisms by which cancer cells colonize and destroy bone. His research established the concept of a vicious cycle between tumor cells and bone-resorbing osteoclasts in bone metastasis pathophysiology. He characterized how cancer cells stimulate osteoclasts while simultaneously benefiting from growth factors released from the bone matrix during resorption. His laboratory has identified multiple molecular targets including SRC kinase and RANKL/OPG for therapeutic intervention in bone metastasis.
