👥Biography 个人简介

Susumu Tonegawa received the 1987 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the discovery of the genetic principle for generating antibody diversity through V(D)J recombination. His work showed how a limited genome encodes the vast repertoire of antibodies. This foundational discovery underlies all of adaptive immunity and modern therapeutic antibody engineering.
