Ton Schumacher

Ton Schumacher is a leading expert in neoantigen-specific T cell biology at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. His research has elucidated how neoantigen-specific T cells recognize and eliminate cancer cells, providing key mechanistic insights for vaccine development. He developed novel methods to identify and characterize rare neoantigen-specific T cells from patient samples. His work on T cell receptor repertoire analysis in the context of cancer immunotherapy has shaped the design of neoantigen vaccine trials.
