Tobias Else

Tobias Else is a physician-scientist studying the molecular genetics of adrenocortical carcinoma, including characterization of somatic driver alterations in ATRX, CDK4/CDKN2A, and ZNRF3 that define distinct ACC molecular subtypes with different prognoses. His group has investigated the adrenal tumor microenvironment and analyzed PD-L1 expression and immune infiltration patterns as predictors of immunotherapy response. He also studies hereditary ACC risk, including Li-Fraumeni syndrome surveillance and other rare germline predispositions.
