👥Biography 个人简介

Thomas Prebet is a hematologist-oncologist with expertise in splicing factor mutations in MDS, particularly SF3B1 mutations that define a MDS subtype characterized by ring sideroblasts and relatively favorable prognosis. His research has elucidated how SF3B1 mutations alter pre-mRNA splicing to impair erythroid differentiation. He studies rational therapeutic approaches for splicing factor-mutated MDS including luspatercept and experimental spliceosome-targeting agents. He is active in cooperative group MDS clinical trials and contributes to educational programs for hematology trainees.
