👥Biography 个人简介
Tasuku Honjo is a Nobel Prize laureate (2018) who discovered PD-1 (programmed death-1) and demonstrated its role as a key checkpoint in suppressing immune responses, including anti-tumor immunity. His laboratory's work showing that PD-1 blockade could treat cancer established the scientific foundation for pembrolizumab, nivolumab, and the entire class of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapies now transforming oncology across virtually every cancer type.
