Tanya Paull
PhD
Professor, Department of Molecular Biosciences
👥Biography 个人简介
Tanya Paull is a leading biochemist who has defined the molecular mechanisms by which the MRN complex (MRE11-RAD50-NBS1) activates ATM kinase at DNA double-strand breaks and promotes DNA end resection for homologous recombination. Her cell-free biochemical reconstitution studies revealed how the MRN complex and CtIP cooperate to initiate long-range 5' to 3' resection. Her detailed mechanistic understanding of ATM activation has been invaluable for interpreting cancer-associated ATM mutations and their impact on DDR proficiency.
