David Tamborero

David Tamborero has developed the Cancer Genome Interpreter and related computational frameworks for annotating cancer genomic variants with clinical actionability, creating standardized pipelines that translate raw sequencing data into clinically interpretable reports of driver mutations, therapeutic targets, and resistance mechanisms. His work at IRB Barcelona has established methods for distinguishing clinically actionable driver variants from variants of uncertain significance, enabling the integration of cancer genomics into clinical decision-making. His tools are used by precision oncology programs worldwide to guide treatment selection.
