👥Biography 个人简介

Susan Bhatt studies DNA methylation as a mechanism of tumor suppressor gene silencing in cancer and has developed methylation biomarkers for cancer detection. Her research characterized CpG island methylator phenotype (CIMP) in colorectal cancer and its association with microsatellite instability and BRAF mutations. She has also studied epigenetic silencing of MLH1 as the basis of sporadic MSI-H colorectal cancer. Her work on blood-based methylation biomarkers for early cancer detection has contributed to multi-cancer early detection assay development.
