Susan Bhatt

Susan Bhatt studies androgen receptor signaling as a therapeutic target in breast cancer, particularly in triple-negative and AR-positive subtypes. Her research characterized the luminal androgen receptor (LAR) subtype of triple-negative breast cancer as uniquely dependent on AR signaling for proliferation. She has led clinical trials of enzalutamide and abiraterone in AR-positive breast cancer and evaluated combination strategies with CDK4/6 inhibitors. Her work expands endocrine therapy principles beyond the classical ER-positive disease paradigm.
