Sumithra Mandrekar at Mayo Clinic is one of oncology's leading biostatisticians, having developed and implemented innovative adaptive clinical trial designs for cancer. Her work on seamless Phase I/II designs, biomarker-stratified trials, and platform trial methodology has advanced the efficiency and informativeness of cancer clinical trials. She has been the lead statistician for dozens of cooperative group NCCTG/NCORP cancer trials.
