Karin Strittmatter develops lung cancer organoid models that capture intratumoral heterogeneity and enable single-cell resolution analysis of drug resistance mechanisms. Her work on modeling acquired resistance to EGFR inhibitors and ALK inhibitors in organoid cultures has identified combinatorial strategies to overcome treatment failure. She integrates single-cell transcriptomics with organoid pharmacotyping to identify predictive biomarkers for targeted therapy response.
