Stephen Lam led the Pan-Canadian Early Detection of Lung Cancer Study and has shaped lung cancer screening policy internationally. He developed autofluorescence bronchoscopy techniques for preinvasive airway lesions. He helped validate the PLCOm2012 risk prediction model for screening eligibility. He continues thoracic research at BC Cancer.
