Stephen Hunger has led Children's Oncology Group acute lymphoblastic leukemia trials including AALL0031 establishing imatinib with chemotherapy for pediatric Philadelphia chromosome-positive ALL, and numerous COG AALL protocols refining risk classification. His work shaped cooperative group pediatric leukemia treatment standards. He continues to chair COG leukemia committees.
