Professor Stefan Knapp is one of the world's leading structural biologists focused on kinase and epigenetic drug targets. He pioneered the chemical probe approach to target validation and has solved hundreds of crystal structures of kinases and epigenetic readers. His work on bromodomain structural biology and chemical probes catalyzed the BET inhibitor field and informed the design of highly selective allosteric kinase inhibitors for cancer therapy.
