Poul Sorensen discovered the ETV6-NTRK3 fusion in secretory breast carcinoma and infantile fibrosarcoma that established TRK inhibitors as a precision medicine target. His laboratory at BC Cancer has defined fusion oncogene biology in pediatric sarcomas. His work is foundational to modern tissue agnostic oncology.
