👥Biography 个人简介

Hans-Georg Simon elucidated the crosstalk between Wnt and Notch signaling pathways during development and cancer, demonstrating that LIM homeobox transcription factors coordinate these pathways to regulate cell fate decisions hijacked by cancer stem cells for maintaining multipotency and self-renewal. His work on regenerative signaling revealed shared molecular circuits between tissue regeneration and cancer stem cell activation, identifying intervention points where developmental pathway inhibition could selectively target cancer stem cells. He investigates how developmental transcription factor networks are reactivated in cancer stem cells across tumor types.
