Simon Kramer

Simon Kramer was instrumental in founding the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG), which became the primary cooperative clinical trials group for radiation oncology in the United States. He also contributed to establishing the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) as the premier professional organization for the specialty. His advocacy for evidence-based, multi-institutional cooperative trials transformed how radiation therapy was evaluated and refined.
