Silvia Stacchiotti

Silvia Stacchiotti is a world-leading expert in rare and ultra-rare sarcomas, particularly chordoma, desmoid tumors, alveolar soft part sarcoma, and epithelioid hemangioendothelioma. She has led international prospective registries and basket trials for these conditions through the Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS) and EORTC. Her work characterizing the natural history and response to systemic therapy of chordoma and desmoid tumors established PDGFRB inhibition and Wnt/beta-catenin pathway inhibition as therapeutic strategies. She coordinates the Global Chordoma Working Group and multiple international consensus panels.
