Silvia Formenti

Silvia Formenti at Weill Cornell is a pioneer of radio-immunotherapy and the abscopal effect. Her clinical and translational research demonstrating that SBRT combined with ipilimumab can generate systemic anti-tumor immune responses through the abscopal effect has been landmark for the field. She has designed and led multiple trials combining radiation with checkpoint inhibitors across cancer types and continues to define optimal radio-immunotherapy strategies.
