👥Biography 个人简介

Shuichi Takayama has developed microfluidic organ-on-chip platforms for cancer drug testing that incorporate controlled flow, physiological shear stress, and multi-organ connectivity to better predict in vivo drug efficacy and toxicity. His droplet microfluidics approaches enable high-throughput screening of drug combinations against patient-derived tumor spheroids in nanoliter reaction volumes. He has created multi-organ chip systems connecting tumor, liver, and kidney compartments to model systemic drug metabolism and toxicity alongside anti-tumor efficacy. His work on patient-derived tumor-on-chip models aims to enable functional drug testing for personalized cancer therapy within clinically actionable timeframes.
