Sarah Cooley is a clinical hematologist and NK cell researcher at the University of Minnesota who has made important contributions to clinical translation of cord blood-derived NK cell therapy. Her studies have examined NK cell expansion, persistence, and anti-tumor activity after adoptive transfer in AML and other hematologic malignancies. She contributed to optimization of cytokine support strategies including IL-15 and modified cytokines to enhance in vivo NK cell function. She is active in cooperative group cellular therapy trials and contributes to NK cell therapy protocols used in clinical settings.
