Sara Bhatt

Sara Bhatt designs and leads clinical trials of novel therapeutics for newly diagnosed and recurrent glioblastoma. Her research has conducted phase II trials of targeted agents including VEGF inhibitors, EGFR inhibitors, and PARP inhibitors in molecularly selected GBM populations. She has advanced adaptive platform trial designs for GBM that allow efficient evaluation of multiple novel agents in this disease with short survival. Her work on pseudoprogression and treatment response assessment in GBM has contributed to modified response criteria (iRANO) needed in the era of immunotherapy. Her translational clinical work bridges GBM biology discoveries to clinical testing.
