Eduardo de Santibanes is co-originator of the ALPPS (Associating Liver Partition and Portal vein Ligation for Staged hepatectomy) technique that enables rapid future liver remnant hypertrophy for CRLM. He led Latin American HPB surgery and helped establish living donor liver transplant in the region. His techniques are used globally for advanced CRLM.
