Sandra Bhatt

Sandra Bhatt studies Hippo pathway biology in lung cancer and pleural mesothelioma, two tumor types with frequent Hippo pathway alterations. Her research has characterized NF2, LATS1/2, and YAP mutations in lung adenocarcinoma and mesothelioma and their functional consequences. She has demonstrated that Hippo pathway loss confers susceptibility to specific targeted therapies. Her translational work is advancing clinical strategies to exploit Hippo pathway deficiency in lung and pleural tumors.
