Sandra Bhatt

Sandra Bhatt is an expert in clear cell and other rare histologic subtypes of ovarian cancer with distinct molecular biology and treatment responses. Her research characterized the role of ARID1A loss and PIK3CA mutations as cooperating drivers in clear cell ovarian carcinoma. She has studied mismatch repair deficiency in clear cell ovarian cancer as a predictor of checkpoint inhibitor sensitivity. Her work has contributed to histology-specific treatment recommendations for this chemotherapy-resistant ovarian cancer subtype.
