Sandip Bhatt

Sandip Bhatt studies conventional dendritic cell (cDC) subsets and their critical roles in tumor antigen presentation and T cell priming. His laboratory has characterized the distinct functions of cDC1 and cDC2 in generating anti-tumor CD8 and CD4 T cell responses. He investigates how cDCs are regulated in the tumor microenvironment and how their dysfunction leads to immune escape. His research provides a foundation for DC-based cancer immunotherapy approaches.
