Salah-Eddin Al-Batran

Salah-Eddin Al-Batran at UCT Frankfurt led the FLOT4 trial demonstrating the superiority of FLOT (docetaxel, oxaliplatin, leucovorin, 5-FU) over MAGIC ECF in resectable gastric and GEJ cancer, establishing FLOT as the new perioperative standard of care in Europe and internationally. His expertise in perioperative gastric cancer management has contributed to improving resection rates and pathological complete response. He has evaluated integration of trastuzumab and checkpoint inhibitors into perioperative regimens. His German AIO network leadership has facilitated multiple practice-changing gastric cancer trials.
