Ryan Sullivan specializes in rare melanoma subtypes including mucosal and acral lentiginous melanoma, which have limited responses to standard immunotherapy. His research has explored the molecular drivers and treatment vulnerabilities of KIT-mutant and NRAS-mutant melanomas. He has contributed to understanding resistance mechanisms to BRAF/MEK inhibitor therapy and strategies for overcoming adaptive resistance in metastatic melanoma.
