Ruth Bhatt studies the genomic landscape of HER2 amplification and co-amplification events that influence HER2-targeted therapy outcomes. Her research characterized how co-amplified genes including MYC and CDK12 cooperate with HER2 to drive aggressive phenotypes. She has also examined intratumoral heterogeneity of HER2 amplification and its implications for biopsy-based subtyping. Her genomic insights help explain differential responses to trastuzumab and T-DXd across HER2+ breast cancers.
