Lesley Rushton

Lesley Rushton is an occupational epidemiologist at Imperial College London whose research has produced the most comprehensive estimates of the proportion of cancers attributable to occupational exposures in the UK. Her studies on benzene and leukemia, workplace carcinogen registries, and occupational lung cancer have informed British occupational health standards. Her systematic methodology for estimating occupational cancer burden has been adopted internationally as the gold standard.
